Yeah, I was caught off-guard too. I think I must have backed up the Tivo a couple of times to watch that again.
Hinault is still a badass! Got to love it.
I thought it was nothing short of awesome. That and the commentators retelling a story about how he rode his bike into a bunch of protesters at Paris Nice with fists flying. Finally a French guy I can get behind.
Absolutely! I've always had a little bit of a soft spot for Hinault (I appreciate his directness), and now it's permanent.
That, and then Vaughter's f-bomb yesterday morning. CLASSIC. I love this tour. It rules!
